CRATER LAKE TOURS FROM ASHLAND OR MEDFORD

Get Info, Be Contacted by Main Street Staff or Order Now

We at Main Street Tours believe that no trip to Oregon is complete without a visit to Crater Lake National Park, one of the most rare and sublimely beautiful natural wonders in the world. This geological gemstone of the Cascade Range of Mountains comprises one of the oldest national parks in our nation’s history, and the only national park in Oregon, with 180,000 acres dedicated in 1902 by President Theodore Roosevelt. We suggest you sit back and allow our professional narrative guides to transport you, your friends, or your group, on a wonderful day you will never forget!

$110/person (departs Ashland/Medford area 9:30am / returns by 4:30pm) All-inclusive price covers transportation with narration, park pass, gourmet boxed lunch, and multiple area site-seeing and/or hiking (min. 2 persons).

• INSPIRATION: Even in a region known for its awe-inspiring volcanic formations, no one is truly prepared for the enchantment of standing at the edge of this 7,000-year-old, six-mile wide, 2,000-foot-deep, intensely blue caldera, embraced serenely by a 20-mile circle of rugged cliffs spattered with hemlock, fir, and pine.

Salmon leaping Fish Dam at Fish Hatchery on Rogue River near Crater Lake National Park

Our Main Street Crater Lake exclusive tour is a fascinating visual journey taking you 5,000 vertical feet, leaving from the Medford/Ashland/Grants Pass area, narrated by our professionally trained tour guide.

EDUCATION with Stops Along the Way:
Your private coach transportation may stop along the way at sites such as… XXX

  • The Crater Lake Wine Cellars in Shady Cove, where handcrafted fine wines are grown and bottled in the Upper Rogue Canyon.
  • The Cole RIvers Fish Hatchery, where salmon, steelhead, and rainbow trout are born, raised, and released into their native habitat. Look into the glass room or tanks where you are up close and personal with these creatures.
  • The Rogue River Canyon Gorge, where we will watch millions of gallons of water surging through a narrow rock canyon, enough in one minute to fill an Olympic-size swimming pool!

• AFTER LUNCH — a gourmet boxed lunch provided by Main Street Tours — we will continue our journey back to the Medford/Ashland area using an alternate routeon the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway, past the high-desert communities of Fort Klamath, Rocky Point, and Lake of the Woods Resort. We will stop on occasion to view birds, perhaps spotting bald eagle, American white pelican, and rare inland aquatic birds.

After a gourmet boxed lunch provided by Main Street Tours, we will continue our journey back to the Medford/Ashland area, taking you on a unique route to the morning’s journey, exposing you to the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway, past the high-desert towns of Fort Klamath, Rocky Point, and Lake of the Woods Resort.
