Main Street Tours has for years guided private birding tours to the Klamath Basin of South Central Oregon & Northern California..
It is a remarkable flyway and home to over 350 species of birds throughout the year.
It is world famous for spectacular flocks of waterfowl on the lakes, rivers and nearby Klamath Basin National Wildlife Refuges.
At no other time is the Klamath Basin more blessed with unique beauty than the sunshine-filled months of winter when it becomes home to the largest concentration of wintering Bald Eagles in the lower 48 states. During this time for decades a very popular three-day festival event, The Winter Wings Festival, is held. This year on Presidents' Day 2008 weekend (Friday thru Sunday, Feb 15-17) again it will coincide with the presence of thousands of wintering eagles from as far away as the Alaskan tundra.

Festival participants can enjoy seeing magnificent raptors, waterfowl and wintering birds on tours and learn more about them at workshops.
- More than 100 bird species are counted every winter in the Klamath Basin and you will learn how to identify them.
- Join hundreds of others at the Festival is to share information, increase awareness of community resources and gain an understanding of this eco-system and wildlife resources
- The Festival will offer noted speakers, authors, receptions, field trips, workshops, mini-sessions, and other special events.
- In addition there are many free activities, vendors, live birds, and displays targeted to families and children.
